A DOCUMENTARY ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SEA AND INDUSTRY

In “BLUE CROATIA” we explore the consequences of the industrialisation upon the sea and the local population through several generations.

From the example of the city beach in Rijeka, when the most direct access to the sea was prevented to the inhabitants of Rijeka due to industry development (from which the city flourished in other ways), through the example of the ecological hazard of the LNG terminal in the Adriatic, the film explores existing models of co-habitation of sea and industry .

How has industrialisation affected ecology? How do locals love the sea today?

The authors of the project are Jelena Ternovec and Morana Ikić Komljenović, the director of photography is Jasenko Rasol, and the project is being produced by Sabina Krešić and production sudio Fade In for Croatian Television. You can expect the television premiere of the film in 2021.
